Every week we have a creative weekly meeting. The designers come every week and every other week we combine with the product management team and collaborate. I call them Creative Weekly and Cross Functional Creative Weekly.
The cross functional meeting is a little more focused on research and the design activities are more around problem solving and less about visual design.
We use the time to collaborate, review designs, drive consistency across the design org and take time to be creative outside of our normal work responsibilities. It also helps to create a culture of trust where we can be vulnerable and open to feedback where people don’t feel judged and also have the ability to experiment with new ways of thinking and be more comfortable being creative at work. We also use the time to experiment with new technologies and AI
